A six year old girl, Justina Banda, has died after being hit by a motor bike in Luangwa District.
The accident occurred on March 16, 2023 around 11:00 hours along Kamoba road.
According to a statement by police assistant public relations officer, Godfrey Chilabi, preliminary investigations indicate that the accident happened when the pedestrian was crossing the road.

Involved is Chriswell Tembo aged 20 of unknown house number of Indeco Compound in Luangwa District who was riding an unregistered motor bike.
Tembo has since been charged with the offence of Causing Death by Dangerous Cycling and is currently detained in police custody awaiting court appearance.
