A hailstorm has destroyed roofs of classrooms and offices at Kawama Primary School in Mazabuka, Southern province.
The incident happened last night when the region experienced its first rains of the season.
Mazabuka District Commissioner, Oliver Mulomba who visited the school expressed sadness at the state of affairs, and has called for immediate rehabilitation to avoid inconveniencing pupils.

And, Mr. Mulomba has advised contractors in the district to upgrade from using planks to steel structures for roofing, due to its durability.
