Over 14,000 people are expected to vote in the Luangwa District Council Chairperson by-election slated for today September 15, 2022.
Five candidates are contesting the election.
Those contesting include UPND Arthur Lungu, Patriotic Front’s Lawrence Shaba, Socialist Party’s Christopher Njovu, Leadership Movement’s Geoffrey Mumba, and an independent Candidate, Julias Sikasote.

The Luangwa Council Chairperson by-election follows the nullification of the election of Mr. Lawrence Shaba of the Patriotic Front after UPND’s Arthur Lungu petitioned.
