Shortage of fuel has hit Chipata City in Eastern Province.
A check by Diamond News in nine filling stations found that the commodity had run out apart from at Oasis filling station.
Congestion has characterized Chipata District Business Centre as everyone wants to refuel from the said station.

This comes a few months after government commissioned a 38 million United States Dollars state of the art TAZAMA Fuel depot with the capacity storage of over 7 million litres.
Once fully stocked, the petrol reserves at the depot will be lasting for 32 days while diesel will be lasting for 52 days.
