MUMBI PHIRI TO APPEAR BEFORE MONGU HIGH COURT

Former Patriotic Front Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri and her co-accused former President Edgar Lungu’s barber Shebby Chilekwa are today expected to appear before Mongu High Court for commencement of trial.

This is in a matter where the duo is alleged to have been involved in the murder case of UPND supporter Lawrence Banda during the Council Chairperson by-election that happened in Kaoma District in Western Province in 2019.

The road leading to Mongu High Court has since been barricaded by the Zambia Police.
