3 ZAMBIANS, 16 SOMALIS NABBED IN SUSPECTED HUMAN TRAFFICKING CASE

A joint team of immigration and police officers in Nakonde have apprehended 16 Somalis and 3 Zambians in a suspected case of human trafficking and smuggling.

The operation was conducted following a tip off from a concerned member of the public.

The Nakonde operation brings the number of persons apprehended for various immigration offences between 10th and 12th February, 2023 to 72.
