A tragic road accident occurred on Tuesday morning at the Kafue Boys Secondary School junction along the Great North Road in Kafue District, resulting in the loss of four lives.

The accident involved a Marcopolo bus belonging to Juldan Motors, which was carrying 33 passengers. The bus veered off the road, causing extensive damage.

According to Police Public Relations Officer Rae Hamoonga, preliminary investigations indicate that excessive speed was the primary factor contributing to the accident. The driver, Lebani Mwanza, 39, from Lusaka, lost control of the vehicle, leading to the fatal crash.
