A man of Sinazongwe District in Nkandabwe Ward has, allegedly, murdered his wife for denying him sex.
The deceased has been identified as Ireen Siamwenya, while the suspect has only been identified as Goliath, both of Sinazongwe District.
Arnold Muleya, the deceased’s young brother, says the incident happened on Sunday around 20hours when the man demanded to have sex with the wife, but she denied him on allegations that he was on ARVs.
It was at this point that a fight between the couple ensued.
He says during the fight, the child, who was awake, tried to help stop the fight but the father hit him with a chair as he continued beating his wife until she breathed her last.
It is alleged that Goliath later had sex with the corpse.
Nkandabwe Ward Councilor Charles Ntiiti has expressed disappointment at the incident saying barely two days after another woman of Kalomo was axed on the head to death by the husband, another one has been murdered in cold blood.
The civic leader has also bemoaned the man’s behavior, who is alleged to have had sex with the corpse and has appealed to couples to amicably resolve marital issues other than resorting to killing each other.
Police are yet to issue a statement.
