Patriotic Front-PF Mandevu Member of Parliament Christopher Shakafuswa was on Thursday arrested for inciting violence.
Mr. Shakafuswa was picked at a named shopping mall in Lusaka for allegedly inciting PF cadres three weeks ago to stone officers who were on duty at the residence of the former President Edgar Lungu.
The said offense is reported to have occurred when police officers were executing a search warrant.
The lawmaker has since been released on bond, pending a court appearance.
Opposition Patriots for Economic Progress leader, Sean Tembo has described the arrest of Mr. Shakafuswa as an assault on democracy.
