Four people have been burnt to death in a Road Traffic accident that occurred at Kafunda area in Serenje District along the Great North Road in Central Province.
The accident which happened around 12:00 hours on Saturday was caused by a truck driver, of Tanzanian origin, who while carrying Sulphur, failed to keep to his lane and consequently collided head-on with a Marcopolo bus, property of Harvey Bus Services.
Four unidentified people from both vehicles have died including, the driver of the truck, while 10 others sustained injuries and are receiving treatment at Serenje District Hospital.
Police Spokesperson Rea Hamonga has confirmed the fatal accident to the media.
