Sanlam Group has disclosed that it has trained over 600 financial journalists in Africa through the Sanlam Summer School.
Group Head of Communications, Pearl Majola, says this has been done in the 20 years of the existence of the Sanlam Summer School.
She said the initiative was introduced to encourage local firms to build capacity among financial journalists.
She said this at the 2023 Sanlam Summer School For Financial Journalists across Africa held at Pecan Manor, Hartbeespoort in South Africa.
The 20th Sanlam Summer School is being held under the theme Fintech and Mobile Money in Africa attracting journalists from Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Uganda, Malawi, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
