Some Mazabuka residents have embarked on a project to renovate and extend the ablution block at Mazabuka General Hospital.
Chairperson of the project Justine Mweetwa says the increasing number of patients prompted the group to expand the lavatory capacity of the Hospital.
Mazabuka General Hospital Administrator Kenneth Chanda has welcomed the gesture, saying that it will compliment government’s efforts of quality health care delivery.
Some patients have also applauded the intervention stating that it will improve sanitation at the hospital that has been gradually overwhelmed by the high number of people seeking medical treatment.
