Queen Elizabeth’s lifelong-sense-of-duty has been remembered in her state funeral service at Westminster Abbey.
The Dean of Westminster, who led the service, expressed gratitude to a congregation of 2,000 people including world leaders and royalty.
King Charles III led a somber procession behind his mother’s coffin from Westminster Hall to the abbey.
The Queen’s coffin has arrived in Windsor, where she will later be buried with her husband of more than 70 years.
And Zambia British High Commissioner, Nicholas Woolly says Queen Elizabeth II was passionate about the Commonwealth and for it to become more prosperous and powerful for the good of the world.
He says she strongly believed in the strength that came from Commonwealth nations by working as a united force through the exchanging of ideas and developing of common goals.
He was speaking at the Lusaka National Museum to mark the National Day of Prayer for Queen Elizabeth II who died last week at the age of 96.
