An employee of Protea Hotels in Lusaka,

Bowas Chigoma, has allegedly disappeared with over 5, 000 dollars entrusted to him by the company manager, Hagar Mitemba.

Police Public Relations Officer, Rae Hamoonga, has confirmed the development adding that the police has opened a docket in relation to the matter.

In a statement, Mr. Hamoonga says Mr. Chigoma was entrusted with the said money which is equivalent to K125,000 to deposit into the Protea Hotel account at ABSA Bank, East Park Mall, but instead escaped to an unknown destination without fulfilling his duty.

Mr. Hamoonga says the police are committed to pursuing this matter diligently and has since urged anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the alleged fugitive or any relevant details pertaining to the case to assist the police in their investigation
