PROSECUTION DELAYS SUMMONS IN NDOZO LODGE OWNER’S CASE

.

The corruption case involving Ndozo Lodge proprietor Clint Sichamba, his wife Eudoria, and son David has suffered fresh delays after the prosecution failed to serve official summons on time at the Lusaka Magistrate Court.

The trio is facing charges related to suspected corruption involving over K781 million and more than $10 million.

When the matter came up, Magistrate Ireen Wishimanga expressed concern over the State’s failure to meet procedural requirements, saying it was wasting the court’s time in a case that is time-sensitive.

This followed a complaint by the defense team, which stated that while some documents had been received, the official summons were missing—making it difficult to prepare an adequate response.

The trial has now been adjourned to Thursday, May 29, 2025.

The case has already encountered setbacks, including the resignation of key witness Clement Chipasha from the Anti-Corruption Commission.
