President Hakainde Hichilema says Zambia remains a strong advocate of global peace and stability.
Speaking at the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA, President Hichilema says war in any part of the world derails the fight against poverty.
He says the United Nations should continue with its efforts to champion peace and Zambia remains committed to the fundamental principles which the UN was founded on.
He has further called on the strengthening of the health sector to avoid the resurgence of the Covid-19 pandemic, and to fight polio, measles and Ebola.
