President Hakainde Hichilema has accorded an official funeral to former Zambia Air Force Commander Lieutenant General Peter Dingiswayo Zuze (Retired).
President Hichilema has also declared Monday, September 21, 2026, a day of national mourning in honour of the late former Zambia Air Force Commander.
Lieutenant General Zuze died in Lusaka on September 14, 2026, after an illness.
The former military officer is being laid to rest today at Leopards Hill Memorial Park in Lusaka, following a funeral service at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church.
Lieutenant General Zuze was the first indigenous Commander of the Zambia Air Force and is remembered for his role in laying the foundation for the growth and development of the Service.
