The preprocessing of 100 Presidential supporters across the provinces has commenced ahead of the upcoming elections.
In Lusaka, the exercise is taking place at Civic Centre’s Nakatindi Hall.
The process, however, experienced delays after the Zambia Wake Up Party, led by Howard Kunda, failed to appear at its scheduled time of 09:00 hours.
The United Prosperous and Peaceful Zambia Party, under Charles Chanda, which was expected at 10:00 hours, had also not yet shown up by the scheduled time.
Later in the day, Zambia Must Prosper led by Kelvin Bwalya Fube, the Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) under Brian Mundubile, the Movement for Economic Emancipation (MEE) led by Given Mwenya Chansa, and the Christian Democratic Party of Daniel Chibale Pule are expected to undergo the same process.
Similar preprocessing activities are simultaneously taking place in provincial centres across the country ahead of nominations and the general election slated for August 13th.
