Long queues have characterized Rice Processing plants in Chinsali following long hours of load shedding.
The situation forces traders who have travelled from as far as Solwezi, Lusaka, Kasumbalesa among others to spend nights on the queue for fear of losing their grain.
Operators are also not leaving anything to chance as they work late at night, whenever power has been restored in order to meet the demand.
Delphister Musonda, who has been on the waiting line for over a week narrates how she hopes to raise money for her college education and how she is now frustrated seeing how the process of getting her rice ready for markets is going.
