Some plain clothed police officers have attempted to arrest Lumezi member of Parliament, Munir Zulu, shortly after the Presidential address on the official opening of the 3rd session of the 13th National assembly.

Commotion almost ensued when Mr. Zulu resisted arrest by the said police officers.

Leader of the opposition, Brian Mundubile, has told Diamond News that the police wanted to arrest Mr. Zulu over his remarks against the president as he officially opens this session of Parliament.

Mr. Mundubile has since described the police conduct as an abuse of the rule of law.
