POLICE ARREST SEVEN SUSPECTS IN LUBINDA’S ATTACK CASE

Police have arrested seven suspects in connection with the incident that occurred on November 19, 2025, at around 12:00 hours at 3 Seasons Lodge in Kabwe, where Patriotic Front acting President Given Lubinda was harassed by a mob.

Police public Relations Officer Godfrey Chilabi says the arrests were made during an intelligence led operation conducted today, November 21, 2025.

He says all seven suspects are residents of Kabwe and have been identified as Mbesuma Bernard, aged 35, Edwin Mukwaila, aged 40, Mainza Moonga, aged 35, of Kamuchanga Compound Wesley Sichangala, aged 32, of Makululu Compound , Shenny Mwanza, aged 20, Pascal Puta, aged 20, of Katondo Compound and Choax Banda, aged 26, of High Ridge

Mr . Chilabi says Investigations are ongoing, and that the suspects are currently in custody awaiting formal charges.

Meanwhile, Police in Kabwe have invited Mr. Lubinda, the complainant, to submit a formal statement and complete the necessary case complaint procedures to support the ongoing investigation.
