Some consumers in Chinsali, Muchinga province have proposed that the Ministry of Finance should do away with coins especially the smallest denominations such as 5 ngwee and 10 Ngwee, citing lack of value.
Ngosa Mwape says given the economic status of the country, there is no item on the market worth less than 50 Ngwee, hence retailers exploiting consumers by placing such denominations to their line of item pricing.
