Factions from political parties have clashed at the ongoing Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) meeting for presidential aspirants ahead of the 2026 general elections.
The Patriotic Front (PF) is being represented by Makebi Zulu and Miles Sampa as aspiring presidential candidates.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is represented by Saboi Imboela and Arthur Musukwa as aspiring presidential candidates.
Raising a point of order at the start of the meeting, NDC President Saboi Imboela questioned how the commission issued invitations to two presidential aspirants from the same party and called for clarification on the matter.
Over 50 aspiring presidential candidates are attending this high-level meeting.
