The Opposition, Patriotic Front (PF), has halted preparations for the party convention which was set for next month to elect a new leader.
This is until the determination of a court case, in which Matero Member of Parliament, Miles Sampa, has sued the Party acting Secretary General, Nickson Chilangwa, and Acting President, Given Lubinda, over the decision to suspend him from the party.
Mr. Sampa claims the suspension was done without the approval of the Central Committee.
Arising from this, PF Information and Publicity Chairperson, Raphael Nakacinda, says the party has halted preparations for the party convention as funds that had been mobilized will now be channeled towards the court process.
Mr. Nakacinda has since advised all Presidential Candidates to stop all manner of campaigns.
