Copper Queens defender Pauline Zulu and her Elite Ladies teammate Comfort Selemani have joined Zanaco Ladies FC in transfers valued at K170,000 and K130,000, respectively.

Zulu, 21, has risen rapidly through the ranks, becoming a key figure in Zambia’s national team.

Her solid defensive skills were crucial during the 2024 COSAFA Women’s Championship, where Zambia triumphed over South Africa in a penalty shootout to claim the COSAFA title.

Zulu’s contributions have extended to helping the Copper Queens secure a spot at the 2024 WAFCON tournament apart from being a part of the team at the last Olympics.

She initially joined Elite Ladies from Pataaki FC for K20,000 and has risen to become a key cog of the Elite Ladies setup.

Selemani, a versatile midfielder, has also shown immense promise, contributing significantly to Zambia’s successes in international competitions. Known for her vision and ball control, Selemani has been instrumental in Zambia’s WAFCON and Olympic qualification campaigns.

The two players will officially join Zanaco Ladies in January 2025.
