A week after an Elephant in Livingstone is said to have hit into a house, leaving a trail of destruction, no amount of compensation has come through for the affected widow.
Regional Warden, Andrew Mukupa has told Diamond News that there is no law in Zambia that compels the Department of National Parks and Wildlife to compensate anyone for either loss of life or property.
He explains that by virtue of the animals being vested in the name of the President, no law is above this status.
