Residents of Ndola’s Munkulungwe Ward in Bwana Mkubwa Constituency have burnt down a front-end loader belonging to local company, Mulberry Enterprise, in a bid to prevent the demolition of their houses.
The Mulberry Enterprise early this morning stormed the community for a demolition exercise of alleged illegal houses on the company land but faced resistance from the residents who ended up setting the heavy equipment of fire.
Residents have, however, questioned why the company allowed the construction of houses for over 40 years now.
