NDC HOLDS FIRST NATIONAL CONGRESS IN LUSAKA, USHERS IN NEW LEADERSHIP UNOPPOSED

.

The National Democratic Congress Party (NDC) has successfully held its first-ever National Congress at Longacres Lodge in Lusaka, ushering in a new leadership team that went unopposed.

Newly elected party president Arthur Musukwa described the gathering as the only true Congress, stating that previous leadership structures were merely masquerades.

Mr Musukwa reaffirmed the party’s commitment to its alliance with the United Party for National Development (UPND) until 2031, emphasizing that the NDC will support a single presidential candidate, Hakainde Hichilema.

The newly elected leadership includes Mubanga Mbewe as Vice President and Steven Muhango as National Treasurer.
