Over one hundred and fifty households in Namwala district have continued squatting in tents after a heavy downpour left their houses destroyed.
The affected families, who were relocated to three camps, have told Diamond news that the destruction suffered did not spare their crops or livestock.
They say that even with government support of basic food items, they are still in need of clean drinking water.
District Administrative officer, Sokoloku Daka, has assured families that government is working round the clock to address their challenges.
