NAMIBIAN PRESIDENT NETUMBO NANDI-NDAITWAH ARRIVES IN ZAMBIA

Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has arrived in Zambia for a two-day working visit.

She was received by her counterpart, President Hakainde Hichilema.

While in Zambia, President Nandi-Ndaitwah will hold official talks with President Hichilema.

She is also scheduled to deliver a statement at a street renaming ceremony in Lusaka, where Kasama Street will be renamed in honour of His Excellency Dr. Sam Nujoma, Founding President and Father of the Namibian Nation.

Additionally, Sadzu Street will be renamed in honour of His Excellency Dr. Hage Gottfried Geingob, the third President of the Republic of Namibia.

Both leaders lived in Zambia during the liberation struggle.

President Hichilema has noted that beyond being neighbouring nations, Zambia and Namibia share deep-rooted ties of friendship, shaped by a shared history, including Zambia’s support for Namibian freedom fighters.

He has expressed his pleasure at hosting President Nandi-Ndaitwah, stating that her visit will further strengthen the already strong bonds between the two countries for the benefit of their peoples.
