Patriotic Front (PF) and Tonse Alliance Secretary General Raphael Nakacinda has called on party members to put aside personal interests and egos and instead prioritise the interests of the Zambian people.
Mr. Nakacinda said this is not the time to sabotage the alliance but to work as a united front to defeat and remove the current government from power.
He stressed that as the main opposition, the PF should not allow itself to be derailed by individuals desperate for power, whether from within or outside the party.
He made the remarks at the Lusaka Magistrate Court shortly after attending his own court case.
Meanwhile, the court has adjourned a matter in which Mr. Nakacinda is charged with seditious practices due to the absence of the arresting officer.
Particulars of the offence allege that on 21 August 2024, Mr. Nakacinda, through Millennium Radio’s Facebook page, uttered seditious remarks claiming that government was importing contaminated mealie meal containing aflatoxins.
