Patriotic Front’s Member of the Central committee in-Charge of Information and Publicity Rapheal Nakacinda has refused to have a meeting with the Electoral Commission of Zambia ECZ over his remarks regarding alleged pre-marked ballot papers in favour of the UPND in the just ended by-elections.
In a letter to the Commission, Mr. Nakacinda claims that the commission has no mandate to summon him.
And speaking shortly after his court appearance at the Lusaka magistrate court, Mr. Nakacinda also accused the commission of not being independent.
Meanwhile, the Electoral Commission of Zambia says they will announce their next cause of action by Tuesday, November 8, 2022 over Mr. Nakacinda’s refusal to attend the said meeting.
Lastweek, the Commission summoned Mr. Nakacinda for a meeting over his claims saying the commission takes such matters seriously.
