Home affairs and internal security Minister Jack Mwimbu has announced that he will contest the Monze East Constituency seat following the recent delimitation exercise.
Speaking during an event in Monze, Mr. Mwimbu say he is vying for the seat in what will be his first term representing the newly created constituency.
Mr. Mwimbu has served as Member of Parliament for Monze Central since 2001. If elected in Monze East, his tenure in Parliament would extend to nearly three decades.
