Former Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency board member Keegan Mwape says he has accepted the move with both hands.
Speaking in an interview with Diamond News, Mr Mwape has indicated that the development was not entirely unexpected, citing his current political ambitions in Kasama as a possible factor vying for the Parliamentary seat.
However, he declined to comment on the decision by Health Minister Dr Alex Katakwe to involve investigative bodies such as the Anti-Corruption Commission and the Drug Enforcement Commission.
Despite the unfolding investigations, Mr Mwape has maintained that he and his colleagues had fulfilled their responsibilities, adding that he remains focused on his ongoing campaign, while awaiting any formal findings from the authorities.
