Paul Mwanza has won the 2025 Official Strongman Games, becoming the first Zambian to successfully defend the championship after defeating nine competitors in the Men’s Masters 40+ 105kg category.
Mwanza’s back-to-back titles demonstrate consistency at the highest level of age-group strongman competition, where athletes over 40 compete in events testing strength, endurance and technique.
The Men’s Masters 40+ 105kg category featured a competitive field of 10 athletes, with Mwanza emerging victorious to retain his crown.
The achievement adds to Zambia’s growing presence in international strongman competitions, following Inspector Gift Habeenzu’s recent 13th-place finish at the World Strongman Championship in Texas.
