Early Childhood Education pupils at Musungu Primary School in Luapula Province have been learning under a tree due to inadequate classroom blocks.
School Head Teacher, Christopher Mulenga, says the school has 620 pupils but has less classes and the construction of a 1 by 3 classroom block which could help address the challenges being faced by the school has delayed by six months.
Mr. Mulenga says once the classrooms are completed with the current Constituency Development Fund, it will help avert challenges being faced by the school as classes have been divided into two sessions to provide space for other learners.
Diamond News visited the school located 150 kilometers from Mansa District and found lessons being conducted under a tree.
