The murder case involving former Patriotic Front Deputy Secretary General, Mumbi Phiri and her co-accused former President Edgar Lungu’s barber, Shebby Chilekwa, has been adjourned to tomorrow the 5th October 2022 for continued trial.
So far, only three out of the 24 witnesses have testified in the matter before the Mongu High Court.
The allegations are that Mrs. Phiri, 52, and Mr. Chilekwa, 34, whilst acting together murdered Lawrence Banda, a UPND member, during a by-election in Kaoma District in October 6, 2019.
The duo has been in detention since February this year.
