MOTHER APPEALS FOR SUPPORT FOR CHILD WITH CEREBRAL PALSY

.

A 48-year-old woman of Shibuyunji District, Beauty Mukumpo, has appealed for assistance after being stranded in Lusaka with her 10-year-old son, Boniface Mawaya, who is living with cerebral palsy.

Ms. Mukumpo says she is currently staying at a well-wisher’s home in Chawama after travelling to Lusaka to seek medical treatment for her son.

She explains that Boniface was recently diagnosed with throat and respiratory complications and has since been referred to Beit Cure Hospital for physiotherapy.

However, she is unable to meet the costs associated with transportation and treatment.

Ms. Mukumpo has appealed for support, particularly a wheelchair, diapers and other basic necessities noting that her son cannot sit unaided and must be carried at all times.
