
Heavy rains have continued impacting people of Lundazi with Nthitimira ward among the negatively affected as the Msudzi bridge has been damaged.
This means Mutuwanjobvu and Chindindi primary schools have been completely cut off and residents on the other end have challenges accessing health services at Ng’onga health facility.
Tobias Manda says the damage of the bridge by the heavy current means accessibility challenges.
Meanwhile, Michael Zimba, aged 40, has called for government support after he was left homeless following a heavy downpour.
The Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) has continued doing assessments from the over 367 households reported as of 31st December 2025.
Lundazi District Commissioner Majory Banda has assured the people that government will come in and ensure support to the affected residents.
