MOB DEMOLISHES MUNUNGA POLICE POST AFTER MURDER SUSPECT’S ARREST

A mob has demolished Mununga Police Post in Chienge District after forcibly breaking into the facility and attacking a murder suspect.

Grace Kaoma’s body was found buried in a bush near her farming field, showing signs of assault.

Police investigations quickly pointed to Kaoma’s former husband, Derrick Mwale, as the prime suspect, who was apprehended and detained at Mununga Police Post last on Monday night.

Upon learning of Mwale’s detention, the enraged mob descended on the police post, overwhelmed the officers on duty, and broke into the cells.

They dragged Mwale out and subjected him to severe mob justice, and in the process, the mob extensively damaged the police infrastructure.
