Two suspected motorbike thieves have been burnt to death by a mob in Nakonde District.
The duo allegedly attempted to steal a motorbike they had booked to Ilola on Saturday morning.
According to eyewitnesses, the suspects knocked the rider to the ground in Sutwa after pretending to have reached their destination and sped off with the bike.
An oncoming rider witnessed the incident and, with help from other riders, managed to apprehend the suspects leading to the fatal mob attack.
Police are yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
