The Media Owners Association of Zambia (MOAZ) has expressed deep sorrow following the untimely demise of former President Dr. Edgar Chagwa Lungu, hailing him as a transformational leader whose legacy will endure in the annals of Zambian history.
In a heartfelt press release issued today, MOAZ President Costa Mwansa has conveyed the association’s condolences to Dr. Lungu’s family, the Patriotic Front (PF), and the Zambian people.
MOAZ remembers Dr. Lungu, who served as Zambia’s sixth Republican President from 2015 to 2021, for spearheading major infrastructure initiatives during his tenure, including his ability to connect with citizens,through his kindness and humor.
The nation continues to mourn the loss of a statesman after his demise was announced yesterday by his family.
