Patriotic Front (PF) President, Miles Sampa, has initiated contempt proceedings against the Registrar of Societies, Robert Chabinga, and PF member Morgan Ng’ona. The allegations stem from changes made to the PF party’s leadership during an ongoing court case.

Mr. Sampa claims that Mr. Chabinga defied a court order by holding a press conference on Sunday, November 10, 2024, where he presented himself as the acting president of the PF.

In his supporting affidavit for the ex-parte summons, Sampa further accuses Mr. Ng’ona of repeatedly referring to Chabinga as PF president, in violation of the court’s directive to refrain from endorsing Chabinga’s leadership.

Additionally, Sampa argues that the Registrar of Societies acted in contempt by altering the official records of the PF, despite the ongoing legal dispute over the party’s leadership|
