The Media Owners Association of Zambia has proposed a stimulus package from the government aimed at cushioning the challenges the media is experiencing amidst a sluggish economic performance.
Speaking during an engagement meeting with the Minister of Information and Media Cornelius Mweetwa, Association President, Costa Mwansa says the media has not been spared from the effect of economic challenges in view of drought.
The Association has equally implored the government to consider tax waiver for the private media, to sustain business.
Minister of Information and Media, Cornelius Mweetwa has promised to bring up the matter before Cabinet.
