Zambia Under-20 Men’s National Team Head Coach Chisi Mbewe has retained all 20 players from the 2022 COSAFA winning squad for the second phase of the Total Energies Egypt 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations preparations.

The 20 players have been joined by U17 Captain Aaron Mbemba Phiri and midfielder Emmanuel Mutale among others who were influential to the team’s success at the 2022 U17 COSAFA Championship, which was played at the region 5 games in Malawi, bringing the total number of players to 29.

Zambia is in Group C alongside Gambia, Tunisia and Benin and will play their matches at Alexandria stadium in Alexandria.

The second phase of preparations for the TotalEnergies Egypt 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations that will run from 19 February to 11 March 2023 is expected to commence before the weekend.
