Matero Magic Basketball Club Assistant Coach Davies Zulu says the team is finalizing preparations for the Basketball African League, which is set to commence this Friday, October 28.
The Basketball Africa League qualifier, which was initially scheduled to run from 25th to 28th October in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, has been moved to between October 28 and 30.
The Qualifiers which will see Zambia’s Basketball Champions Matero Magic Basketball Club was set to take place in Kampala, Uganda but following an outbreak of the Ebola virus in that country, Africa’s basketball governing body moved the tournament to Dar es Salaam.
Meanwhile, Matero Magic Captain Chongo Chona is confident that the team will change the narrative of Zambian Basketball by winning their first and second games, which will see them through to the Elite 16.
