A man in Kalomo, Southern Province, has shot dead his wife and another man whom he suspected of being her lover.
According to Katanda Ward Councilor, Maxley Kasusuli in Ndundumwezi, Fair Muleya, a wildlife officer aged 46, shot dead his wife Precious Moono, 34, in their bedroom, while the alleged boyfriend, Wisdom Pinto was shot about 100 meters away from the couple’s residence, in Kafue National Park Camp on Thursday night.
The councillor says Muleya called for a meeting to discuss why Pinto was going out with his wife, but ended up shooting the two.
After the shooting, Muleya is said to have borrowed a motorbike from his friend and handed himself to police where he was later detained.
The bodies of the two are currently lying at Kalomo Urban Clinic Mortuary awaiting post-mortem and burial.
Police are yet to give details in the matter.
