MAN MURDERED IN AN AGGRAVATED ROBBERY ATTACK IN CHIPANGALI

A brutal attack has left a businessman dead while his daughter severely injured in Chipangali District.

The incident occurred on January 12, 2025, at Kadiula A Section near Nkalinkali Stream.

According to Eastern Province Police Commanding Officer Robertson Mweemba, Jacob Mwale, 42, and his daughter Iness, 19, were ambushed by three unknown male assailants while riding a motorbike home from a shopping trip.

The attackers robbed the victims of their motorbike, groceries, and other items valued at K1,500.

Jacob Mwale sustained multiple deep cuts to the head and face, dying on the spot, while his daughter suffered severe head injuries and body pains but managed to escape.
