The death toll in Malawi has continued to rise following the devastating effects of Cyclone Freddy.

So far, figures indicate that 326 lives have been lost, 796 people injured and 201 missing while 1, 044 have been rescued.

Chairman for Malawians living in Zambia, Craige Chongwe, says the country is in dire need of help as families have lost homes and property to floods.

And responding to the call, BuyZed has donated a bale of blankets to the Malawian High Commission in Zambia for the victims.

BuyZed Founder, Evans Ngoma, has since called on the corporate world to come to the aid of Malawi.

On Friday, Zambia aided Malawi with K20 million towards humanitarian assistance after Tropical Cyclone Freddy wrecked havoc, killing at least 326 people.
