
The Road Development Agency (RDA) says physical works on the Lusaka–Ndola Dual Carriageway have reached 68 percent completion.
RDA Chief Communications and Corporate Affairs Manager Anthony Mulowa has told Diamond News that out of the total project length of 662.4 kilometres, 338.43 kilometres of asphalt surfacing have so far been laid.
Mulowa added that the Kafubu Bridge in Ndola has recorded 90 percent physical progress.
He has explained that the project also includes the construction of 30 kilometres of bypass roads aimed at easing congestion and improving traffic flow around major towns.
These include the Kabwe Bypass Road and the Kapiri Mposhi Bypass Road.
According to Mulowa, works on the Kabwe Bypass Road currently stand at 28 percent, while the Kapiri Mposhi Bypass Road is at an advanced stage, with 87 percent of works completed.
